This page is for IT and procurement teams deciding whether people at their company can use Verli. Verli is run by Inkvi LLC. Our privacy policy has the full details, and it wins if anything here differs.
What data Verli handles
- Audio from the microphone or computer sound a person chooses to capture.
- Transcripts and translations made from that audio.
- Account details: name and email address.
- Things people add themselves, such as speaker names, AI summaries and words they want recognized.
- Plan and minutes balance, plus limited usage and error data to keep Verli working.
What we keep, and for how long
- Audio: sent for live transcription and translation as it is spoken. Verli does not store raw audio after the session ends.
- Saved transcripts: saving is on by default and can be turned off with the Save meeting transcripts setting. Saved transcripts and their AI summaries stay in the account until the person deletes them or deletes their account.
- Live share links: a shared live transcript is deleted automatically 24 hours after the share ends.
How to delete data
- Delete a single transcript, with its summary, in History.
- Delete everything by deleting the account. This deletes saved transcripts, summaries and other account data. A few records are kept longer for set reasons, such as tax records kept by payment providers and abuse prevention. The privacy policy lists them.
- Download a copy of your data or make another privacy request on the privacy requests page.
Encryption and access
- In transit: data moving between your device and Verli's services is encrypted with HTTPS and secure WebSocket connections.
- At rest: data we store is kept with managed hosting providers that encrypt it on disk and control who can access it.
- Access: only the people and systems that need it to run or support Verli can reach production systems and personal data.
Outside services
Verli uses a small number of outside companies to run the service: sign-in, speech recognition and translation, database and web hosting, payments, email, error reports and analytics, and the optional AI features below. Each gets only the data it needs for its job. Where one handles personal data for us, we have a data processing agreement with it.
The full list, with what each company receives, is in our privacy policy under Third parties we share with. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where these companies operate. We do not sell personal data.
AI training
We do not use your audio or transcripts to train AI models.
Sign-in and payments
- Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our sign-in provider. People can also use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Verli does not store passwords.
- Card payments go to Stripe or to the app store the person buys through. Card details are never sent to Verli.
Optional AI features
Some features send transcript text to an AI provider to do their job. Each person controls them in their own Settings, and the privacy policy names the provider each one uses.
- AI summaries: written only after the person agrees to AI summaries.
- Ask: answers questions about one recording. It uses the same agreement as AI summaries, and answers are not stored.
- Speaker names: after a recording, Verli suggests names for the speakers. This can be turned off with the Identify speakers setting.
