for interviews, research calls and briefings

English to Korean voice translator for live calls and interviews.

Verli is an English to Korean voice translator for your computer: it listens to English from a call, an interview or a recorded talk and writes live Korean captions under each English line. It runs in your browser or the Mac and Windows apps, not on a phone, and saves the transcript to History by default.

How to translate English speech into Korean

1.

Set English and Korean as your language pair

Click the language pill to open Choose Languages. English goes under Language 1 and Korean under Language 2. If someone answers in Korean, Verli spots the switch and gives you an English line for that too.

2.

Choose the call, tab or microphone

Open Audio source and turn on Desktop audio. On a Mac, Verli hears every sound the computer plays, and macOS asks for System Audio Recording access the first time. On Windows, choose any screen when recording starts. In the browser, use Chrome: pick the Chrome Tab with the call and turn on Share audio. If the call runs in the Zoom or Teams desktop app, use the Mac or Windows app instead. For a speaker in the same room, use Microphone.

3.

Add your terms, then record

Open Assistant, turn on Knowledge base, and add the names and acronyms you expect to hear under Words to recognize. Changes apply to the next session, so do this before the call. Then start recording and read the Korean as it appears.

English to Korean live translation on your computer

Korean under every English line

Each English line has live Korean captions directly below it. In View settings, set Show to Translated to hide the English, or press A+ to raise the font size up to 28 px.

A term list for names and jargon

Words to recognize takes names, brands and acronyms. For an investor call, that might be EBITDA, a ticker symbol and the CFO's surname. For a research meeting, it might be the grant name and your advisor's surname. Preferred translations sets the Korean you want for a term. Save the list as a preset and reuse it on any device.

Works from your computer's audio

No bot joins the call or shows up in the participant list. The speaker sees nothing unless you send them a live share link, which comes with Standard and Premium.

A transcript and summary to keep

Sessions save to History by default, in both languages. Copy the transcript with timestamps and speaker labels. On paid plans, generate an AI summary in Korean or English when the call ends.

Reading Korean while the meeting runs in English

Korean speakers use Verli to follow English as it happens: researchers in interviews with English-speaking colleagues, staff at companies that work in English, or students in classes taught in English. You read the Korean to keep up. The English stays on screen above it when you need the exact words. If you speak English and want a Korean-speaking colleague or relative to follow along, start the session yourself and send them a live share link on a paid plan. For Korean speech you want to read in English, see the Korean to English page.

Live translation between English and Korean has known weak spots. Honorifics and speech levels can come out wrong. Pronouns can flip, especially when someone says I and you in fast first-person speech. Technical terms, company names and tickers can be misheard. A term list helps with those, but it will not catch everything. Check numbers, names and anything you plan to quote or act on against the English line.

In a long talk or briefing, keep one recording running from start to finish instead of starting a new one for each part. One session gives you a single transcript and one summary that covers the whole talk. If an interpreter speaks Korean during the talk, Verli adds an English line for that part too, so you can compare the two versions. Minutes count while recording is on, including the pauses, so stop recording as soon as the talk ends.

Get consent to record interviews and research calls where the law, the employer, the venue or your research rules require it. In a job interview, ask what the interviewer allows before you use any tool, and use Verli openly. Your audio is not kept after the session, and Verli does not train models on your audio or transcripts.

Verli runs on a computer and shows text on your screen, so some searches need something else. To speak a few English phrases and hear them in Korean, try the free live voice translator in your browser. For travel conversations on a phone, a phone translator app is still the better fit. Verli phone apps are coming soon. To read an English recording in Korean, the free audio translator turns the first three minutes of a file into English and Korean text. Verli does not dub files into Korean audio, play translation into earbuds, or play Korean through speakers for a whole room. For an audience, a paid live share link lets each person follow along on their own phone.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an English to Korean voice translator that works in real time?

Yes. Verli is a speech translator that listens to English playing on your computer and shows Korean under each line while people talk. Use it in the browser, the Mac app (macOS 14.2 or later, on the Mac App Store as Verli Live Translation) or the Windows app (Microsoft Store, 64-bit Windows 10 version 2004 or later).

Can I translate an English Zoom or Teams meeting into Korean?

Yes. In the Mac or Windows app, turn on Desktop audio, and Verli hears the meeting audio your computer plays, even through headphones. If you join the meeting in a Chrome tab, the browser works too: turn on Desktop audio, pick that Chrome Tab and turn on Share audio. Verli never joins the meeting, so no bot shows up in the participant list. Get consent to record where the law or the meeting's rules require it.

Which translator is the most accurate for Korean?

There is no single winner, and we do not claim Verli is the most accurate. Results depend on clear audio, how fast people talk and how many names and terms come up. Add your term list under Knowledge base, wear headphones on calls, and try it free on a real meeting before you rely on it.

Can ChatGPT or Google Translate do this?

Those tools are handy for short phrases you say, type or paste. Verli is built for long stretches of speech playing on your computer, such as an hour of English on a call. You read Korean as people talk and keep an English and Korean transcript at the end.

Can I hear the Korean instead of reading it?

Yes, if you use the Mac or Windows app on Standard or Premium. Turn on Read aloud and choose a voice, and the Korean comes through your own headphones while the English plays. Nothing is sent to the other people on the call, and the browser version has no voice output.

Can a colleague follow the Korean without an account?

Yes, on Standard or Premium. Once recording starts, choose Share transcript and Copy share link, then send it. Your colleague needs only a browser, no account, and reads the English with the Korean below it, or the Korean alone at a bigger size. Verli deletes the shared data 24 hours after the session is created.

How much does it cost?

You get 60 minutes upon sign-up, with no credit card. Standard is $7.99 per month for 10 hours. Premium is $19.99 per month for 10 hours plus more natural voice translation. Members can add 5-hour or 10-hour packs. Prices are in USD as of October 2026. Minutes count while recording is on, including silence, so stop recording when the call ends.
