for when you would rather listen than read
Verli listens to the Zoom audio on your computer, translates what each person says, and reads the translation aloud in your headphones, with a voice that matches each speaker. The live transcript stays on screen too, so you can listen and read at the same time.
nothing joins the call, nobody else installs anything
1.
The desktop app hears the sound Zoom plays, including the native Zoom app. Sign in and pick the two languages of the call.
2.
Choose the language you want to hear. When someone finishes a sentence, Verli speaks its translation with a male or female voice that matches who is talking.
3.
Headphones keep the translated voice out of your microphone, so the other people in the call hear only you.
Look at the shared slides, take notes or watch the speaker while the translation plays in your ear. The transcript is still there when you want to check a word.
Verli tells speakers apart and gives each one a voice that matches them, and keeps it for the whole call, so you can follow who said what by ear.
Verli runs on your own computer and translates the audio you already hear. It works in meetings you host, meetings you join and webinars, on free and paid Zoom accounts.
Calls save to History with the full transcript and its translation. Paid plans add an AI summary of what was said and decided.
Zoom's own translation features come with specific paid Zoom plans and cover fewer languages. Verli works on any Zoom plan and translates between 60+ languages: you hear each sentence in your language shortly after the speaker finishes it.
Because Verli waits for a finished sentence before it speaks, the voice runs a little behind the speaker, and long sentences take longer. Most people listen to the voice and glance at the transcript when they need the exact wording. Premium uses a more natural voice than Standard.
Verli speaks only into your own headphones. It does not yet speak into the call for you, so the other people still hear your own voice. If you need them to hear you in their language, see the question about that below.
Not yet. Today Verli speaks only into your own headphones and never into the call. We are deciding whether to build a mode where Verli speaks your translated words into Zoom as your microphone. If you would use it, email support@verli.app and tell us what kind of calls it is for.
No. No bot joins and nothing appears in the participant list. Verli translates the sound your computer already plays, so the meeting stays exactly as it was.
No, Read aloud is in the Mac and Windows apps. In the browser, Verli still translates a Zoom meeting you open in a browser tab and shows the translation as live text.
Not if you wear headphones. Through speakers, your microphone can pick up the translated voice and the meeting will hear it.
Yes. Verli translates any sound your computer plays, so the same steps work for Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex and phone calls taken on your computer.
You get 60 minutes when you sign up, with no credit card. Read aloud is a paid feature. Standard costs $7.99 per month for 10 hours. Premium costs $19.99 per month for 10 hours with a more natural voice. Prices are in USD. Minutes count while recording is on.
